From October 18th to November 3rd, experience a historical story about World War II at the Dutch Open Air Museum in Arnhem. During the first edition of the illuminated walk "Uitgelicht," discover how Arnhem evacuees lived here during the war. At that time, the museum was "Closed due to occupancy." This fall, immerse yourself in this story through impressive light projections, sound effects, and illuminated pathways.
Inspired by a true story, you will experience this extraordinary period through the eyes of a former resident of the museum. As a young boy, he lived in the Open Air Museum during the evacuation of Arnhem. His voice guides you through the park, past 37 light projections, each depicting memories from that period. How did these people live? How did they get food? Did they have a kitchen? Did they have to work? Did children go to school?
