On August 15th, to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Provence landing, a national ceremony will be held at the National Necropolis of Boulouris in Saint Raphael, in presence of the President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron.
It is possible for the public to attend the ceremony. However, given the small size of the National Necropolis of Boulouris, the public will not have direct access to the site of the event, but the ceremony will be broadcast on a giant screen located nearby.
To attend the ceremony, it is mandatory to register on the national website opened for this purpose: https://75ans-liberation.fr/evenement/evenements-du-15-aout/
End of registration on Sunday, August 11th.
The national necropolis of Boulouris in Saint-Raphaël in southern France was inaugurated on August 15, 1964 by General Charles de Gaulle. Buried here are 464 combatants of all origins and all denominations belonging to the 1st French Army commanded by General de Lattre de Tassigny, killed during the landing of Provence.
