Like every year, a musical reading will take place on the forecourt of the Town Hall – Esplanade of Liberation, to celebrate in texts and music the Liberation of Paris!
An air of freedom will blow on the forecourt of the Town Hall in the evening of August 25. The readings will be accompanied by famous tunes such as the Song of Partisans or the March of the 2nd DB, but also by a daring repertoire from contemporary composers whose music evokes the sorrows, hopes and joys of the Parisian from the occupation until the Liberation of Paris.
Free outdoor event – with the participation of the Orchestra of Harmony of the Music of the Peacekeepers and the Choir of the French Army.
Access by Victoria Avenue from 5:30 pm.
As a tribute to General de Gaulle’ speech pronounced on August 25, 1944 at Paris City Hall, this photographic exhibition is divided into three parts: “Insurgent Paris”, “Paris released” and “Paris found”.
