On November the 1st, 1944, at a quarter to six in the morning, Allied commandos troops landed in Flushing (Vlissingen). The last phase of the Battle of the Scheldt aimed to use the port of Antwerp to supply the liberation armies.
75 years later, we remember and commemorate the thousands of fallen soldiers and civilian victims.
Every Tuesday at 2:00 pm, everyone is welcome to join this liberation trail and hear about the first day of the liberation of Vlissingen.
