International memorial service at the Monument of Tolerance

The first monument that remembers both the fallen of the Allied forces and those of the former enemies Germany and Austria.

The monument was founded in 2001 to remember the more than 750 fallen from 11 nations that died in the Leudal area (the Netherlands, Limburg province) between 1940 and 1945. On the 14th of November veterans, ambassadors and other dignitaries will gather around the Monument of Tolerance to pay tribute to these men during an international memorial service.
