Theme Bike Tour: ‘Liberation of the Municipality of Sluis’

Led by a guide, we traverse the West Zeeuws-Vlaanderen polder area where evacuated people were sheltered on farms. Oostburg and Sluis are visited, including in Oostburg a visit to the post-war command post ‘Bunker Grote Beer’ and in Sluis the places where Jews were temporarily sheltered during the war.

Starting point of the bicycle tour is the north side of the Sint Baafskerk, Sint Bavostraat 5, in Aardenburg.

Participation is free of charge. Refreshments are at your own expense.
