Museon

The Museon in The Hague is an interactive museum dedicated to science and culture. Visitors are inspired to explore the world and treat it with respect. There is also attention paid to the Second World War.

Besides several scientific subjects, the Museon also pays attention to culture. This also concerns the Second World War. One of the permanent exhibitions in the Museon is called ‘Children in wartime’. This exhibition displays stories, objects, photos, film clips and documents examining the influence of the Second World War on children’s everyday life. Besides this permanent exhibition there are also regularly temporary exhibitions in the museum devoted to the Second World War. Examples of this are an exhibition devoted to The Hague artist and resistance heroine Ru Paré and an exhibition devoted to the Japanese occupation of the Dutch East Indies.
